Apparently, I was in Slate

During some late-night Googling of myself, I found a blurb on Slate.com from August...apparently this blog was quoted, with regards to the Daily Show's Iraq coverage. Cool!

If only Slate knew I was full of crap!

The Daily Show's Street Team is totes hip

The Daily Show's Demetri Martin was trying to tap into the heads of youth voters, and decided a Street Team was in order. I don't know...I'm not a big fan of turtlenecks...

Your Moment of Zen

This just in: The Daily Show is actually going to be reporting from Iraq. This is significant, as the the leader in fake news (”When news breaks, we fix it”) will be engaging in real reporting, it seems; though TDS was widely heralded for its Indecision 20XX coverage, this is a first for the program, for any comedy program, really. Sure beats the pants of the mercifully cancelled “1/2 Hour News Hour.” God, was that awful.

Daily Show correspodent and Marine Corps Reserve Major Rob Riggle will be doing the on-site reporting. Riggle is a great improv “reporter,” but sometimes his commentator spots (which usually hinge on the military), leave something to be desired. This should be interesting and is certainly a coup for Stewart’s crew.

Broadcasts begin Monday at 11 p.m. EST.
